☆Get Down☆

You know, I like silly videos like the one above. They're fun to watch, and they make me laugh. It may be somewhat of an old meme as of this writing but hell, I don't care. This video deserves a mention this week.

Just last Monday, I started work. I work as an art class teaching assistant for a summer youth program. Initially, I was nervous, as I had no prior teaching experience and the fact that I'm not a very social person. But after a while, this job seemed natural to me. The students are nice, and so are my co-workers. I thought to myself, "Is this what I was put on this Earth for? Enriching young minds?" I actually find work rewarding. You know, aside from cartooning, I felt that teaching was my calling. I feel like Great Teacher Onizuka (nerdy, I know). Although, I just hope what I've just written doesn't turn out to be a premature declaration. 

Lost some sleep lately due to me finishing up my Summer Comic Project for the year. No matter. As of this writing, the comic has been colored and scanned. All that is left is additional clean-up and lettering. Whether I should release it for free or try to shop it to a publisher is another story. 

The biggest news of the week is probably the most unexpected of news: I've started dating again. Yes, you've read that correctly -- I'm dating someone. Met her not too long ago, about a month I believe, but became serious about it just last week. She's a dear, and in addition, really cute. To be realistic, I've never been really good with relationships, but I'm diving in and see how this goes. Wish me luck.

Game news: Tetris turns 25, E3 ended, and I plan on making a tribute short film to Shigesato Itoi's video game "MOTHER", which turns 20 in July. Plus, I'm still playing "Cave Story", and not advancing very far in it due to lack of time. I also plan on playing "Famicom Detective Club II" and a few ROM hacks when I have time, preferably after beating "Cave Story". Where has all the time gone?
